HOH Team in Rwanda1. Administration - The needs of hundreds of orphans and desperate children, over 30 staff, and hundreds of people traveling in teams to Rwanda requires a substantial amount of administration.  One of the areas that you can make a vital difference in, is by contributing to the administrative costs of our Canadian staff who make this project possible.
Another way is through your contribution to the significant costs incurred by our staff when traveling to and from Rwanda (average trip costs $4000 CAD).

LeocadieYvonne2. Child Care Givers who care for sponsored children - $200 CAD/month each  We are opening two new Homes and need immediate sponsorship.  Leocadie is moving into the Cyuru Home and Yvonne is moving into the Gatsata Home.  Click here to see other Care Givers available for sponsorship.


Feeding Children3. Children needing only food - $15 CAD/month each. We have started feeding programs in some of our projects to help hundreds of more children than we are able to sponsor monthly.

You could also send one of these children to school for only $32/year!


Pastor EmmanuelDoreen4. Gitarama - fourth HOH location - unreached with desperate children and very bad malnutrition.  A new church branch is being started. $600CAD/month is needed which includes Pastor Emmanuel and Doreen (in charge of the feeding program which is feeding 75+ every week!)Feeding Program - Gitarama

Also, there is a new building going up!  Estimated amount needed is approx $11,000 CAD.

 

 

5. Staff

  • In all of our locations, we need 24-hour guards, which are $100/month each.
  • We have a part-time teacher who is teaching illiterate adults and teens how to read and write their own KinyaRwanda language.  This teacher needs $60/month.
  • Our new cashier, Jane, needs $250/month.
  • Esperance, one of the Home of Hope leaders in Rwanda (in all 5 locations) is traveling to all projects monthly.  She is taking more responsibility and has more costs.  She also needs a camera to send pictures of children and projects back to Canada and to sponsors.  Need $200 more a month.
  • A laptop for our Jabana office is needed for better administration.  Also, $50/month CAD for internet fees.


8. Canadian in Rwanda - Elroy Pankratz, a retired pastor with a history of construction, is going to Rwanda for 3 months to oversee our building projects. We are fundraising at least $4000 to help cover his expenses. We CANNOT PROCEED with large building projects without someone of this calibre to oversee the workers.
